Chelsea and Manchester United have both been given hope in their attempts to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus.
As reported by Goal, club director Giuseppe Marotta explained to Rai Sport that the Italian champions would consider a deal if the player makes his desires to leave known to the club.
The policy of Juventus is that if a player asks us to leave, we will not hold him back. On Alex Sandro, we know of the interest from big clubs, but at the moment we have not engaged in any negotiations.
Both Chelsea and United have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian as they both in search of a new left-sided defender.
Chelsea led the race to sign the 26-year-old over the summer but were unable to complete a deal.
After running out of time, Chelsea opted to sign Davide Zappacosta from fellow Serie A outfit Torino.
Chelsea have already signed Ross Barkley from Everton during the January, but sanctioning a big-money move for a player of Sandro’s quality seems unlikely.
Sandro would ineligible for the Champions League should he make the move in January after already featuring for the Old Lady in the competition this season.
