Chelsea and Schalke are negotiating a move for out of favour left-back Baba Rahman ahead of a potential move this month.
As quoted by the Daily Mail, Schalke’s sporting director Christian Heidel revealed that discussions are ongoing between his side and the Blues, as they look to offload the defender.
Baba has now been fully training for two weeks. We are in talks with Chelsea and the doctors of both clubs are in exchange.
The 23-year-old has not been a success with Chelsea and has recently been recovering from a serious knee injury, which has kept him out of action since February last year.
Rahman suffered this blow to his knee while on loan at Schalke last season and it came at the worst possible time, with the promising defender in a purple patch of form.
Chelsea are now well-stocked at full-back, though, and it seems as though Rahman is now surplus to Antonio Conte’s requirements at the club.
Although Rahman is stated to have impressed Conte since making his return from the injury, a loan move away is cited as likely by the Daily Mail, as Schalke continue to pursue the Ghanaian.
