Chelsea are lining up a surprise move to re-sign Thorgan Hazard, who is valued at close to £18 million.
Reports from Bild claim that Chelsea are keeping tabs on the player’s progress ahead of a potential summer move.
Hazard joined Chelsea back in 2012 following the arrival of Eden Hazard, his brother.
However, he has not enjoyed similar levels of success. After various loan spells away from the club, he joined Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach on a permanent deal.
Chelsea inserted a buy-back clause into the deal to sell Hazard, but that has since expired.
A move to re-sign Eden’s brother could be seen as a ploy to keep the player happy at the club, as rumours about his future continue to rumble on.
Kylian Hazard joined Chelsea over the summer and has become part of the development squad at Cobham.
Hazard is under contract at Gladbach until 2020. Thorgan never played a senior game for the Blues but the lure of playing alongside both his brothers may tempt him into a return.
