Chelsea and Roma have agreed a fee for the double transfer of Emerson Palmieri and Edin Dzeko, according to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio.
Chelsea will pay an initial fee of €50 million up front with a further €10 million in bonuses.
As it stands, the two clubs are still working on the terms of the payment and on exactly which clauses will trigger the bonuses, but that process is not expected to drag on, in fact, there is a chance that the transfers could be completed as early as this evening.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been keen to add to his squad and it looks like he will soon have a new left-back and a new striker at his disposal.
The reigning Premier League champions have looked off the boil at times this season and Conte will be hoping that an injection of quality in the form of the Roma duo will lead to more consistent performances over the second half of the campaign.
