Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed that out of favour forward Michy Batshuayi will go out on loan this month, but only if the Blues sign a striker, Goal report.
Chelsea have been linked with plenty of forwards as Conte looks to bolster his frontline, including latest link, Roma’s Edin Dzeko.
Dzeko has been in fine form for the Italian giants this season, and it is believed that Chelsea are close to to securing the services of him and fellow Roma team mate Emerson Palmieri.
Talking to the media ahead of the Blues’ EFL Cup semi-final second leg, boss Conte admitted that the Belgian is likely to leave Stamford Bridge before the end of the window, in order for him to get regular first team football.
If another striker arrives, then Batshuayi will go on loan. I think he wants to have the opportunity to play with regularity. I think this is right.
Batshuayi, 24, has found regular first team opportunities hard to come by this season, and has even appeared for the club’s under-23 side in the Checkatrade Trophy in a bid to get game time.
