Manchester United’s Daley Blind started the match against Basel in the Champions League and the fans did not hold back their true feelings towards the Dutchman.
Blind, who lost his spot in the starting XI to Ashley Young, was given an opportunity to win back his place but failed miserably.
The versatile full-back’s lack of pace was exposed horribly by the opposition time and time again and it’d be strange to see him back in the line-up anytime soon.
Since arriving at Old Trafford, Daley has played as a central midfielder, defensive midfielder, centre-back and full-back but it seems as though he has no position in this Jose Mourinho team.
United’s left-back position has been a problem area for the club for quite some time and it wouldn’t surprise fans to see Mourinho head to the transfer market to address these issues.
Blind needs a cataract, Darmian needs spine, Herrera needs a brain. Rest of us need tranquilizers. Sign up the partners @ManUtd

Even the Glazers, who don't know football would write Jose out two cheques if he sat them down & made them watch Darmian & Blind tonight.

Mourinho sending Darmian and Blind out to do the interviews. That's no accident. Unsurprisingly, they were a bit muted the pair of them.

Blind and Darmian are liabilities. January transfer window can't come soon enough for them to bugger off this team #mufc

Daley Blind is the definition of Deadwood. Need him gone ASAP.

There you go, and what do we do after we concede? Go straight on the attack. I never want to see Blind or Darmian play for this club again, imagine using them as fullbacks with their lack of pace. Embarrassing!!

Blind has been underwhelming in the left-back spot since he was shifted there, only ever ‘doing a job’ but tonight was perhaps one of his worst games of his United career.
Old Trafford will certainly miss Patrice Evra’s presence now more than ever and the need for proper depth in the full-back positions in plainly obvious.
Supporters must also be wondering who prevented the Frenchman from rejoining his former club as things go from bad to worse.
The match against Basel now means that the Red Devils will have to be a little more patient in waiting to qualifying for the latter stages of the Champions League.
