Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says there are no new injury concerns for his Manchester United side despite the tough schedule.
Speaking at this afternoon’s press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League tie with Southampton, the boss said there was ‘wear and tear’ and players would be evaluated ahead of the match.
‘Apart form the wear and tear and the quick turn around, everyone should be available. They’re not injured anyway, so it’s just a matter of energy levels and see how they feel tomorrow. No new fresh injuries anyway.’
‘We’ve been lucky in that respect that we haven’t got injuries.’
Soslkjaer also confirmed that his forwards were working hard to find their scoring boots after a difficult spell in front of goal.
‘It’s not been time to do a lot on the training pitch,’ Ole said.
‘The boys that played are still on the recovery track from Saturday night. Of course we want to get that mojo back, that spark.
‘It’s just about feeling good, taking a deep breath and putting the ball between the posts.’
‘The momentum shifted for us with the Sheffield United game and I’ve got the delegates’ report through from the ref and the decisions were wrong: they’ve admitted their goal should have been disallowed and ours should have stood. So that’s a big, big momentum changer for us … that’s fine margins and that’s been the way this season.’
Much as expected, the manager also confirmed that there would be no last minute transfers into the club before today’s transfer deadline.
