Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial are both definitely out of Manchester United’s crucial Champions League Group H tie against RB Leipzig tomorrow, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed.
Speaking at today’s press conference ahead of the game, Solskjaer confirmed that the two forwards have not recovered from the knocks they sustained against West Ham on Saturday.
‘Edinson and Anthony have only got minor niggles, but they won’t be making the trip,’ the boss told reporters.
Fred will also be absent due to being suspended after picking up a red card against PSG last week.
There was better news in defence as Solskjaer confirmed that David de Gea and Luke Shaw were available for selection.
‘David’s back in and Luke is travelling,’ he said.
For Leipzig, key defender and United target Dayot Upamecano is also suspended, which will be a boost for the Red Devils on their tough trip to Germany.
United need a point from the match to progress to the knockout stages, unless PSG were to lose to Istanbul Basaksehir in the other group match.
