Manchester United fans must be the most confused fans in the Premier League due to their players’ performances over this season.
After all, the past month embodies just what their struggles have been like as they sit currently in fifth place despite some poor form.
Before United beat Tottenham and Manchester City in brilliant back-to-back wins, they drew with Sheffield United, lost to Astana and drew with Aston Villa.
Sheffield and Villa were the particularly frustrating performances as they were nowhere near the levels fans would expect from their players.
Meanwhile the Astana fixture could be excused due to the nature of it as well as the incredible amount of young academy products who played in that match.
Manchester United will end this weekend 5th in the Premier League. Our next four games are:
vs Everton (H) – 14th
vs Watford (A) – 20th
vs Newcastle (H) – 10th
vs Burnley (A) – 13thThese are the sort of games we have struggled in but our standards must be 12 points!

On paper these are all winnable matches but that has proven to deceive in the past with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer struggling to get the best out of his players for these kinds of matches.
There’s been no doubts over Manchester United’s ability to rise to the occasion but the fixtures against so called weaker sides have always caused problems.
After all, Solskjaer’s men have lost as many times as Manchester City this season but it’s the fact they have as many draws as wins that has damaged their ambitions.
Everton are in a bit of a mess after sacking Marco Silva and have struggled all season with Watford also putting in awful performances.
Burnley and Newcastle are better drilled sides but United should still be getting all the points in these fixtures if they want to climb into the top four.
They won’t have a better chance to do since they’re in fifth place, five points away from fourth placed Chelsea who will have to face the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal over the same period of time.
