Manchester United could reportedly make a move for Barcelona star Arturo Vidal despite how it would potentially be considered as a controversial move.
Fans would likely be upset at purchasing a player who’s facing the end of his career when better options are available on the market.
Vidal has also faced some injury issues in the past so there are signs this wouldn’t be a positive move for United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s need for reinforcements in January is well known but links to the tenacious Chilean don’t seem to make much sense.
If anything, it feels as though this report has come to the limelight due to the 32 year old’s desire to leave Spain due to a lack of match-time.
According to Sport Witness, FcInterNews reports that the Red Devils need to replace Nemanja Matic’s potential departure with another experienced midfielder with Vidal a possible target given Ed Woodward’s positive relationship with his agent and the claim they’ve made contact.
The former Chelsea man is said to be on his way out this January with Inter Milan believed to be keen on him so it wouldn’t be wise to trust the original news source.
After all, the Italian giants would benefit from seeing Matic leave United with Vidal replacing him so a deal would become more realistic.
