Chelsea travel to Lancashire in the Premier League’s late Saturday fixture as they face Burnley at Turf Moor.
Since their promotion in 2016, Burnley have come to adjust to life in the Premier League and under Sean Dyche, they have been infamous for being a stubborn and physical side.
Their home ground, Turf Moor, has become a very difficult place to visit, and therefore the sight of ‘Burnley (A)’ on the matchday calendar brings worry of a difficult game.
Currently, the Clarets have got off to a good start in the league and are in eighth position in the table. A warning for Chelsea should be that Burnley have won their previous two games at home, and the Blues will no doubt expect a difficult test against Dyche’s side.
But, Chelsea are in a great run of form and will wholeheartedly believe that they can pick up three points in this fixture.
The Blues have won their previous six games in all competitions, and following on from their great display on Wednesday, where they beat Ajax in Amsterdam, this Chelsea team is full of confidence.
Frank Lampard will know Burnley is an altogether different test, but he will trust that his young side has the firepower to get the better of any side in the league, and he has a great opportunity to illustrate this as he comes up against a stubborn Burnley side.
