Alexis Sanchez enjoyed a whirlwind start to life at Inter Milan following 18 months of sheer banality as a Manchester United player.
The Chilean, who has moved to the San Siro on a season-long loan, opened his Inter account in strange style, with Stefano Sensi smashing a shot which brushed off him and curved perfectly into the bottom corner.
His next goal was superb, buzzing around the box, springing forward at the perfect time to lift an effort over keeper Emil Audero.
One minute into the second half, Alexis was then brandished with a second yellow card for what was a truly blatant piece of theatrics in the box, capping off a truly incredible first start.
Indeed, Alexis only managed one goal in the Premier League for all of last season – a total he bested within 25 minutes at his new club.
For whatever reason, Alexis looked miles away from even thinking about scoring a goal when he was wearing red. It just seemed totally implausible, like flying a Cessna plane into a black hole.
Under new circumstances, though, the whole shape and feel suddenly changes, allowing for all sorts of possibilities.
Old Trafford, on the other hand, currently feels like the type of place where possibilities go to die a painful, slow death.
