David de Gea 6 – Made a crucial double save in the first-half but perhaps went down to ground too early for Arsenal’s goal.
Ashley Young 5 – Arsenal had so much joy down the Englishman’s side all game. Struggled to hold a tight position and his crossing was poor.
Harry Maguire 6 – Played on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the equaliser but held the ball better than any other United defender.
Victor Lindelof 6 – Generally dependable with the ball at his feet but looked spooked whenever Aubameyang came at him.
Axel Tuanzebe 6 – Such a shame. Played superbly all game, holding off players smartly and contributing to build-up play, only to produce a horror pass for Arsenal’s equaliser.
Scott McTominay 6 – Played with his usual unbridled aggression and scored an excellent goal, but could have been crisper in his passing and missed a free header.
Paul Pogba 5 – Dipped in and out of the game, producing a couple of excellent searching passes but essentially playing a spectator role for too much of it.
Andreas Pereira 6 – Nearly ran past the whole Arsenal defence and scored in the first-half. Demonstrated some much-needed intelligence on the ball.
Jesse Lingard 5 – Never really felt like he was in the game. Gave plenty of effort but very little with the ball.
Daniel James 7 – Tried his absolute heart out, always looking to bomb past Callum Chambers and create inroads going forward. Without him, United would have no spark going forward.
Marcus Rashford 5 – Much like against West Ham United, Rashford simply looked off it. A mixture of physical rustiness and lack of confidence, perhaps. Gave his all, granted, but always looked to be struggling.
