Manchester United are reportedly working on new contracts for both Victor Lindelof and Jesse Lingard despite criticism over their form.
The talented Englishman has hardly created anything of note statistically in terms of goals and assists for around a year now.
Despite that, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted Lingard offers plenty else to the side, referencing his pace and pressing ability.
Meanwhile Lindelof has formed part of a so far dodgy partnership alongside Harry Maguire who have failed to keep clean-sheets against the likes of Southampton, Wolves and Crystal Palace.
Although fans are hot and cold with Lingard depending on form, for the most part fans feel the ball-playing Swede should be involved with the first-team for the long-term.

2024 is a big show of faith from Solskjaer who has wasted no time in offloading players he feels have no future at Old Trafford so that length of time proves the pair will play a key part in his plans.
However, it’s safe to say it’s not the best time to hand them a new deal given how it feels it’s rewarding mediocrity rather than excellence.
Perhaps it would be wiser to extend their stay when their form improves so it feels like they’ve actually earned it.
