Manchester United are reportedly waiting to get Anthony Martial‘s scan results back before deciding on whether or not to allow Alexis Sanchez to depart to Inter Milan.
The sensational Frenchman has had a hand in all three matches so far this season, netting against Chelsea once, Wolves once and notching up an assist against Crystal Palace.
It’s clear to see Martial is not only enjoying his central role but is certainly benefiting from it and so his potential injury has come at a bad time.
Martial couldn’t have been substituted off the pitch during the embarrassing 2-1 loss to Palace due to United using up all three substitutions already and so he visibly struggled around until the full-time whistle was blown.
The hope was he wouldn’t be out for a long time but until the scan results come in, there’s no telling how long he’ll be unavailable for.
According to the Guardian, Martial’s potential thigh injury may affect the Red Devils’ decision to loan Sanchez to Inter Milan as the strength in depth will be needed.
What the majority of fans will be thinking is that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs the depth either way and so it would make sense to hold on to the experienced Chilean until someone else is brought in.
