Unai Emery has been asked whether he will play Nicolas Pepe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Nicolas Pepe together against Spurs on Sunday.
It’s the first North London Derby of the season with Arsenal ready to throw a host of new players into the fixture for the first time.
David Luiz and Dani Ceballos will presumably start on Sunday but there are doubts about Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivorian started against Liverpool last weekend and fans are eager to see the former Lille man in action alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette from the off. This is something which Unai Emery spoke about in his pre-match press conference.
“Yes, but be calm. My decision in each moment is thinking about how we are,” Emery said.
“Lacazette he had a problem with his ankle This week is the best week of the last three weeks. He’s getting better and feeling better with his ankle, it’s very positive.
“With Pepe, he came here later than the others but he is getting and feeling better in each match. Aubameyang is very important for us, he scores two goals in the first two matches, he had two or three good actions in Liverpool.
“I think they can start together and they can play also during the match as all three, it depends how we decide our gameplan. But I am very optimistic for that situation, but not also those three players, also Nelson, Mkhitaryan, Willock, Ozil.
“We need to be able to make the best decisions, but above all, to have different possibilities with the players.”
It would be a surprise if the strike force dubbed the PAL didn’t all start on Sunday. The trio has had some time on the pitch together in recent weeks and could be thrown into the mix from the off. Let’s hope that is the case because it should make for an exciting attack.
