Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he has no plans to send Mason Greenwood on loan, suggesting the player will have a role to play in the first-team in the upcoming season.
The sensational Englishman has scored two goals in three games in pre-season with his latest one stunning fans as he netted a superb effort vs Inter Milan.
Before pre-season began, many anticipated the dazzling academy product would impress but would later be sent on loan to develop further.
However, it seems Greenwood’s performances have convinced Solskjaer to think otherwise, although it could have something to do with Romelu Lukaku’s potential departure.
The Belgian has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan all summer and his goals will need to be replaced with perhaps the 17 year old a candidate to do so.
Solskjær: "Mason [Greenwood] has never been on my mind to send on loan. We have to keep him here. He’s ready to be involved in the first team." #mulive

Mason’s inexperience is a little concerning but he’s had a meteoric rise so far so there’s no reason to doubt his talent just yet.
Hopefully once the competitive season begins he can keep up his performances and stamp his authority on the starting XI.
Ole clearly loves Greenwood so that works in his favour but if he stops working hard, it’s likely he’ll quickly fall out of the starting XI.
