Manchester United fans will be rightfully concerned after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed the extent of Luke Shaw‘s injury vs Perth Glory.
The Norwegian’s side ran out 2-0 victors but it came at the expense of the Englishman walking off the field in the second half.
Solskjaer opted to play two different line-ups in the pre-season friendly which means Shaw only featured for less than 45 minutes before having to be substituted back off.
The left-back is United’s most natural and best option for his position so it will be a worry he picked up a knock in the very first match of the summer.
Hopefully Luke can return swiftly so his pre-season isn’t disrupted as it’s such a crucial part of the year.
Ole: “Shaw? He was a bit tight, we’ll have to assess him and probably rest him for a few days.” #mufc

Though normally this would be brushed under the carpet if it was any other player, Shaw’s injury record means it’s more worrying than usual.
The 24 year old hasn’t had the best luck in his career so any niggling, little knocks may end up being a serious injury.
Hopefully Luke can recover quickly and feature at some point in Manchester United’s next pre-season match as they come up against fierce rivals Leeds.
Ole can opt for Diogo Dalot or Ashley Young for the left-back spot though neither are natural options.
