Crucial development in Man United's chase for Maguire

Manchester United fans are beginning to lose their composure over Harry Maguire’s potential transfer and it appears they may have good reason to.

The towering Englishman seems set to complete a move and although it may not happen swiftly, it’s almost certain to happen.

Previously it appeared as though United and Leicester City could never settle on a transfer fee but negotiations have advanced successfully.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been chasing Maguire all summer and should the move happen, he would be the club’s third signing so far.

The talented centre-back would arguably be the legendary Norwegian’s most high profile signing and if reports are to be believed, he’d be the most expensive one too.

The Red Devils have drawn out negotiations for all of their summer signings so far with both Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s cases both turning into transfer sagas before completion.

It’s a common theme throughout the transfer window and that’s unlikely to change with Harry’s arrival.

Fans are unlikely to complain so long as they secure his signature in the end as defensive investment has been desperately needed.

Maguire would certainly slot right into Manchester United’s starting XI as he’s definitely an improvement on their current options at the back.
