Chelsea midfielder Ethan Ampadu has completed a medical ahead of his loan move to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig this week.
According to Sky Sports, via The BBC, Ampadu has already been in Germany to finish his medical.
The report claims that Ampadu is poised to join Leipzig on a season-long loan from Chelsea, as he looks to step up his development.
Ampadu was given a smattering of first-team appearances by Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri last season, but Frank Lampard has arrived at the club and decided to send him out on loan to help him take the next step in his career.
He made five appearances for Chelsea last season, after playing seven in his first year at the club.
The teenager can play at centre-back, but has been played as a holding midfielder in the first-team at Chelsea and for Wales at international level. Although, it remains to be seen where Leipzig see him fitting into their starting line-up in the Bundesliga.
