Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has reportedly told the Real Madrid bosses to prioritise Paul Pogba’s signing over other targets.
The midfielder has been linked with the Spanish side since admitting it would be a dream to play in the Bernabeu.
To make matters worse, the former Juventus man also admitted playing for Zidane in particular would be ideal.
United are said to be doing all they can to secure Pogba’s future with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believed to have offered him the captaincy.
If all else fails, the club are hoping their asking price will kill off any remaining interest as they know there aren’t many clubs who can afford him.
According to the Mirror, Zinedine is desperate to sign Paul as he plans on partnering him alongside Casemiro in a new look Real side but he has been left frustrated with the Red Devils £160m price-tag.
Solskjaer would do well to hold onto the academy product as he will be instrumental in his side’s desire to return to the top.
For all of Pogba’s criticism, he’s still Manchester United’s top goalscorer and top assister of the season which is impressive from a midfielder.
Hopefully under Ole the Frenchman will get even better but that can only happen if he’s not moved on.
