BBC journalist David Ornstein has confirmed that Paul Pogba is extremely likely to stay put at Manchester United this summer.
The French midfielder has been linked with a move to either Juventus or Real Madrid following another difficult end to a campaign with Man United.
Pogba told journalists in Japan earlier this month that he wanted a ‘new challenge’ after three seasons at Old Trafford.
However, according to Ornstein (or the ‘Ornacle’, such is the man’s esteem in the journalism world), there was a ‘one out of ten’ chance of Pogba leaving the club.
Ornstein: "I would say that in this transfer window, Paul Pogba is going to stay at #mufc. I'd rate his chances of leaving at one out of ten." #mulive [bbc]

United may have moved away from signing big names under Solskjaer but the club’s ability to pinch Ornstein, the supposed king of Arsenal Twitter, away from the Gunners is a wonderful touch to this hitherto muted transfer period. First it was Van Persie, then it was Sanchez, now it is The Ornacle. Who’s next?
More seriously, one should not be surprised at this development. Pogba may want a new challenge, sure, but United are not obliged to let him go in this window. The midfielder’s contract expires in 2021. The club is in a strong position to keep him and Real Madrid seems unlikely to push for a move.
Much like Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008, Pogba will be told to wait another year, to spend a final season at Old Trafford, before he gets a big-money move elsewhere. That would, you suspect, satisfy all parties involved.
