Chelsea have been dealt a massive blow ahead of the Europa League final on Wednesday with N’Golo Kante set to miss the match.
According to The Mirror, Kante suffered an injury in training and will now be absent as Chelsea face Arsenal in the final of the Europa League.
Kante has been a key player, yet again, for Chelsea this season and played in 36 of Chelsea’s 38 Premier League games – amassing four goals and four assists from midfield.
The report claims that Kante was returning from a calf injury, but now has problems with his knee which are set to rule him out of featuring in the final in Baku.
Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Antonio Rudiger have all already been ruled out of playing against Arsenal, with Kante another blow to Maurizio Sarri’s plans.
Sarri now only has three senior central midfielder in the form of Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barkley.
