Chelsea target Philippe Coutinho reportedly wants to stay at Barcelona, despite rumours about a summer exit.
According to Marcelo Bechler, the player himself is keen to stay in La Liga and prove his worth to the club.
Bechler adds that the player has spoken to Ernesto Valverde about his future, outlining his plans to stick around.
After a tricky start to life at the Camp Nou, Coutinho has been heavily linked with moves away.
Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with moves to bring him back to the Premier League, while French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested.
Coutinho has been a player reportedly earmarked by Chelsea as a target to replace Eden Hazard in the summer.
With the Belgian looking increasingly likely to join up with Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid, the Blues will be eager to make another marquee signing to replace him, providing they’re given permission to sign players in the summer.
