Maurizio Sarri has hit back at his critics who have urged him to change his style of play at Chelsea.
As reported by the Independent, the Chelsea head coach insists that ‘Sarri-ball’ is not going anywhere for the time being.
Despite being told to find a plan B, Sarri insists Chelsea must perfect plan A first.
Why? First of all, I want to do Plan A very well. I don’t want to change some things that, at the moment, don’t work very well. First of all I want to see my football played very well. Then we can go and change something
Sarri has been urged to change his style of play in the wake of Chelsea’s 4-0 defeat away to Bournemouth, the club’s heaviest Premier League defeat during the Roman Abramovich era.
After back-to-back Premier League defeats, there are serious concerns over Sarri’s long-term future at Chelsea unless things drastically change in the coming weeks.
Sarri has publicly blasted his players for their lack of understanding of his tactical demands.
After impressing at Napoli last season, big things were expected of the Italian at Stamford Bridge, with Roman Abramovich longing for a manager capable of installing a more appealing style of play.
