Chelsea are still attempting to acquire the services of Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Argentine looks almost certain to leave Inter this summer, having recently been stripped of the captaincy.
One of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, Icardi has been linked with Chelsea for a while now.
The Blues have been handed a two-window transfer ban, but they will appeal the decision.
A new striker is required at Stamford Bridge, with Gonzalo Higuain likely to be a short-term option and neither Alvaro Morata or Olivier Giroud fitting the bill.
The report does state that there is fair chance that Icardo could stay in Serie A, however.
Juventus and Napoli are being hotly-tipped to sign the 26-year-old, which is a potential blow to Chelsea.
All is likely to become clearer once the season comes to an end, but Icardi would be an outstanding signing if the Blues could get a deal over the line.
