Marouane Fellaini has passed a medical and agreed personal terms ahead of completing a move to Shangdong Luneng from Manchester United.
The midfielder, despite signing a new two-year contract at Old Trafford over the summer, has been tipped for a move away after falling out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He posted a photo on Thursday morning of himself at the airport with his entourage ahead of presumably flying to East China.

And it has been confirmed by the BBC‘s Simon Stone – among other reputable journalists like ESPN‘s Rob Dawson and M.E.N‘s Samuel Luckhurst – that Man United have granted Fellaini permission to leave for Shandong, with the midfielder passing a medical and agreeing personal terms with the Chinese club.
Fellaini medical done. Personal terms agreed. Paperwork still needs to be completed. Chinese transfer window doesn't close until end of February. With Martial new contract nearly done, feels like @ManUtd are hitting the reset button.

The departure of Fellaini is truly symbolic. He has, over the last five and a half years, served as a living example of the abortive post-Fergie era, more a meme than an actual player.
But here’s the thing: Fellaini may not be United standard, yet his attitude is something any professional can learn from. Always there to do a job, never complaining, often coming up with important goals. He has had a notably bigger impact on this club than, say, Angel Di Maria or Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Supporters ought to give Fellaini the recognition he deserves for over half a decade of loyal service.
