It was always going to be a hard-fought match at the Emirates Stadium today with Burnley the visitors.

That was evident from an early stage but the Gunners took an early lead when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang slotted home from a Sead Kolasinac cross.

The Gunners led at the halftime break for the first time in the Premier League this season and doubled their advantage shortly after with Aubameyang’s second.

Arsenal endured a nervy period after that second goal when Ashley Barnes gave Burnley a way back into the contest.

But it wasn’t to be for the visitors when Arsenal broke clear in stoppage time and Alex Iwobi made it 3-1 to secure Unai Emery’s first win in three matches.
