Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho spent some time in his post-match press conference discussing who may start against Valencia in the Champions League.
The Portuguese manager oversaw his side win convincingly for the first time this season with it coming at the expense of Fulham.
United won 4-1 with Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Ashley Young all on the scoresheet but more importantly all three points were secured.
Mourinho praised he’s players’ efforts but he has recognised that the drop in performance in the second half was due to fatigue and so he plans on resting a few stars.
Some fans were initially concerned with Paul Pogba’s absence during the win against Fulham but it seems that the former Chelsea boss was just resting the key man.
According to Manchester Evening News, Jose said: “We need to rest players. These last two matches, Arsenal and today, today was really strong.
“We go to Valencia there are some that need to rest, some need to play. A question of trust and a question of justice too. So if I saw Romero plays, or he deserves to play.
“If I say a kid that is working like a tiger and is not playing much like Andreas Pereira is going to have a start, I’m going to make changes in the team because we have qualified.”

Supporters will hope Mourinho isn’t just hinting at Andreas Pereira starting and will actually play him given how he’s hardly featured this season.
The youngster was the Red Devils’ most impressive player in the club’s pre-season tour in the summer but hasn’t played as many minutes as he would’ve hoped.
The moment Nemanja Matic returned from his injury it was clear Jose would prefer playing him instead and that trend has continued for much of the season.
