Unai Emery has provided a slightly worrying update on the injuries to Rob Holding and Aaron Ramsey (via Arsenal.com).
It was a slightly disappointing result for Arsenal fans as the Gunners drew 2-2 with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
The Gunners lost the lead twice in the match but it looks as if they could also lose some key players to injuries.
Both Aaron Ramsey and Rob Holding were forced off in the match after picking up injuries and now, head coach Unai Emery has given an update on the problems.
“The worst for us today was the news with Rob Holding,” Emery said after the match.
“We are going to wait for what the doctor tells us but it is maybe a big injury. We are going to wait, it is his knee.
“The other is Aaron Ramsey, but it is a small injury with him.
“I say to the players that we need to finish this week, but first is a good rest because the players finished very tired, and that is normal after Sunday’s game against Tottenham and today because they were very demanding on us physically.”
So, it seems as if Aaron Ramsey’s injury is not a serious one but that Rob Holding’s may well be. It’s a huge blow for Holding who has been one of the standout players for the Gunners this season. Let’s hope it’s not as serious as some believe and he can get back playing football as soon as possible.
