Chelsea target Christian Pulisic has been told to leave Borussia Dortmund by former United States international Alexi Lalas, claiming it is ‘time for a change’, the Liverpool Echo report.
The 20-year-old, who is being tracked by the Blues, along with Premier League rivals Liverpool, has excelled in the Bundesliga over recent years and is out of contract in 2020.

The American’s consistent performances in Germany’s top division has attracted interest from Blues boss Maurizio Sarri, who is open to the possibility of bringing the youngster to Stamford Bridge next month.
And with Pulisic set to turn down a new deal with Dortmund, the German giants are reportedly preparing to cash in on the £70 million rated youngster.
Fellow countryman Lalas, who earned 96 caps for the United States in seven years, has revealed he believes Pulisic should move on from Dortmund to join a ‘higher profile team’.
I think he’s done a great job in going over to Germany, he’s done a great job at Borussia Dortmund.
But I think it’s time for a change right now for Christian Pulisic, and a change to an even higher profile team.
The former United States defender then went on to heap praise on the wide man, labelling him as a ‘phenom’.
(Pulisic) is one of the phenoms in the world, he just happens to be American.
There’s going to be pressure to win, and to deliver. He’s a very young player so he’s still getting better.
Chelsea are the favourites to land the American next month, however, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp also keen on the winger, the Blues may face an anxious wait in securing Pulisic’s services.
