[Team News] Vorskla v Arsenal - Boost For Arsenal As Defender Returns To Full Training Early

Arsenal have been handed a boost in defence with Stephan Lichtsteiner’s return to full training (via Arsenal.com).

It’s another Europa League match for Arsenal as the Gunners head to Ukraine to take on FC Vorskla.

Qualification has already been sealed but now the Gunners must set their sights on securing top spot in the group.

Unai Emery’s hopes have been boosted by some of the team news coming out of Arsenal this morning.

The long-term absentees will remain out of contention and it will be too soon for Nacho Monreal but there are some Arsenal players who could return for the match.

Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny are being assessed ahead of the match but the big news is that Stephan Lichtsteiner has returned to full training ahead of the match.

It’s likely that we will see considerable squad rotation employed by Unai Emery. A number of the younger players including Emile Smith Rowe didn’t play for the under-23s on Monday night with this match in mind. Arsenal will, of course, play Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday so we can expect to see some players rested for that one.
