Federico Chiesa has reportedly outlined his demands to Fiorentina as the club continue to make efforts to tie him down to a new contract.
The Italy international has long been linked with a move to Chelsea, with the club understood to be keen on a deal to bring the winger to Stamford Bridge in January.
Chiesa’s contract talks with Fiorentina have reportedly been at an impasse in recent weeks, but the wide player appears to have laid out his conditions if he is to remain with his club.
It’s reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato, that Chiesa is demanding a salary of €2.5 million per year in his proposed new deal with Fiorentina, an increase on his current earnings of €2 million.
A secondary condition that Chiesa has outlined, as per the report, is that Fiorentina secure their place in a European competition ahead of next season.
Chiesa, who stands as Fiorentina’s best-paid player, has also been linked with a move to Manchester United this week.
