Real Madrid’s pursuit of Eden Hazard has taken another strange twist with Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague claiming the La Liga side are not pursuing a deal for the player.
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, as reported by the Express, Balague explains that the club are interested in signing both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, but Hazard does not appear to be on their list of potential ‘Galactico’ signings.
Is Hazard a target for next season? It’s been reported that Real Madrid will covet him in the winter, in January, but I don’t believe that’s the case.
What is quite clear is they’ve got Neymar and I’ll add Mbappe – one of the two – as the main target for next season, and to rebuild the stadium. That explains why Real Madrid, over the last five years, has spent only the money they’ve got from selling players and they haven’t gone for a Galactico since James Rodriguez.
Chelsea’s talisman has prompted yet more talk of a move to Spain with his latest comments about his desire to play for Real Madrid.
Hazard has confirmed he is unsure about whether or not to sign a new deal at the club, because his childhood dream has always been to play for the La Liga giants.
Previous reports have claimed that the club could try their luck both in the January and summer window, with Hazard having two years left on his Chelsea deal.
