Jose Mourinho faces a must-win Champions League group stage tie against Valencia on Tuesday night.

The 55-year-old’s team, who had drawn with Wolverhampton Wanderers and lost to Derby County in the League Cup the week before, suffered further humiliation at the hands of West Ham United on Saturday.

Another set-back against Valencia would only intensify pressure on Ed Woodward to dispense with Mourinho, who has become universally unpopular among supporters this season.
