Jose Mourinho once again showed his appreciation to Manchester United supporters following his side’s 2-0 win over Burnley on Sunday.
The 55-year-old made a point of staying behind after last Monday’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur to applaud the Man United fans who had stayed behind, hailing them for their support afterwards.
And he was able to give an incessantly raucous away end a positive result this time around, with Romelu Lukaku’s first half brace and a dominant performance handing United a 2-0 win.
The boss went straight over to the United end at full time, going over the advertising boards to give away his jacket.

Mourinho made a hugely important point following defeat to Spurs: that fans – not pundits, not board members, not trolls on the internet, not journalists – were the best judge for when it came to the beautiful game.
At a time like this the 55-year-old realises the importance of United’s core support, of the power that comes with a fanbase properly uniting behind their team, no matter what.
Those fans were fully behind their manager today, filling Turf Moor with an endless cacophony of chants and pure noise. You could always feel them there. A twelfth man. That, right there, is what true support looks like it. And Mourinho knows it.
