Manchester United open talks over deal for Chelsea defender

Manchester United have opened talks with Chelsea over a deal for central defender Kurt Zouma.

According to L’Equipe, United are in talks over the permanent signing of Zouma, who looks set to leave Chelsea in the next 24 hours.

The report also claims that Chelsea are hesitating over the offer, as they consider whether they would be willing to let him join their rivals.

Everton have also made a loan approach for Zouma, following his loan spell at Stoke last season.

Stoke were relegated to the Championship, despite Zouma impressing at the back for the club.
