It has been revealed that Unai Emery has banned his Arsenal players from consuming orange juice as part of a fitness shake-up (via The Mirror).

For decades, Arsene Wenger has been credited with something of a fitness renaissance at Arsenal ever since he took over as manager of the club.

The Frenchman instituted modern fitness and dietary techniques which improved the health and well being of many of his players.

Now, it seems as if the club’s new head coach Unai Emery is doing something similar with this current squad.

Reports suggest that Emery has taken the decision to ban fruit juice from the Arsenal training ground in an attempt to make his players healthier.

Orange juice is remarkably high in sugar despite its reputation as a healthy drink.

It’s an interesting move from the club and it comes at a time of tremendous change in the gym and conditioning setup. A lot has changed at Arsenal in recent months and this is just further evidence of it.
