Reports from Spain suggest that Real Madrid have ended their pursuit of Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard.
AS report, via the London Evening Standard, that new Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui is ready to give Isco a more prominent role in the side and is unwilling to spend £200 million to secure a deal for Eden Hazard.
Marco Asensio’s rise in the Madrid ranks is also a key factor in any move, with the highly rated Spaniard linked with a move elsewhere due to a lack of first-team action for the UEFA Champions League holders.
Hazard had been linked with a big money move to the Spanish giants, ending his six year spell at Stamford Bridge.
After the World Cup, Hazard said that he could stay at Chelsea but that Madrid had a firm interest in him. However, it now looks likely that Hazard will be at Chelsea next season despite all of the rumours.
