Juventus central defender Daniele Rugani has agreed to join Chelsea this summer.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, via the Metro, Rugani has agreed a deal to sign for Chelsea ahead of next season.
The report claims that Juventus and Chelsea are still ironing out a fee for the defender, but personal terms have been finalised.
Chelsea have made an improved offer of £35m for Rugani, although it is not yet clear if Juventus deem that acceptable.
Rugani looks set to become Chelsea’s first signing of the transfer window, despite the managerial future of the club still under doubt.
Maurizio Sarri is expected to take over from Antonio Conte next week, with the Napoli boss having managed against Rugani last season.
The 23-year-old has been capped seven times by Italy and is seen as one of the most promising young defenders in the country.
He struggled to get in the Juventus team over the likes of Giorgio Chiellini and Medhi Benatia.
