Chelsea make enquiry to land Real Madrid star

Chelsea’s search for a central midfielder has led them Liverpool and Bayern Munich target Matteo Kovacic.

The Daily Mail claims that the Blues have enquired about the Croatian midfielder.

Several clubs have been linked with moves for the midfielder, who fell out of favour at Real Madrid last season.

The player has made the Spanish giants aware of his intention to leave the club this summer as he goes in search of regular first-team football.

Maurizio Sarri is said to be a huge fan of the player and has tracked his progress since his time at the San Siro with Inter.e

Bayern Munich and Liverpool have been previously linked with moves for the player.

Chelsea are clearly keen to strengthen in the middle of the park, as they remain in talks over a deal to sign Matias Vecino from Inter.
