Chelsea defender set for medical with Ligue 1 side

Chelsea defender Matt Miazga is set for a medical with Ligue 1 side Caen on Tuesday.

Miazga is said to be travelling to Caen to finalise personal terms and complete his medical.

The defender will then be able to officially confirm his move to the Ligue 1 outfit this week.

He is set to seal a season-long loan away from Chelsea, his second loan since joining the club

The 23-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan to Vitesse in the Dutch league, making 55 appearances.

The American international has played twice in the Premier League for Chelsea, since his move to London from New York Red Bulls.

He has been capped seven times at international level, scoring once.
