Chelsea youngster set to join Italian side

Chelsea youngster Jeremie Boga is set to join Sassuolo on loan, according to reports in Italy.

Sky Sports Italia claim that the Serie A are expecting to announce the player’s arrival imminently.

Boga spent last season on loan at Birmingham but will now head abroad in the next stage of his development.

The Ivorian international was a popular figure in the Championship, with many fans sad to the see the back of the skilful midfielder.

After joining Chelsea at a young age and coming through the ranks at the academy he has spent time on loan at Rennes and Granada before his stint in Birmingham.

Boga remains highly thought of at Chelsea but is yet to show his full potential whilst out on loan.

He made his international debut back in 2017 for the Ivory Coast, despite being French-born and representing the latter at youth level.
