Chelsea are reportedly interested in cutting their losses and selling Danny Drinkwater, according to the Mirror.
The Blues are ready to get rid of the midfielder only a year after signing the midfielder from Leicester City for over £30 million. The midfielder has struggled to get game time at Stamford Bridge, only making five Premier League starts for Chelsea.
The midfielder has seen his England World Cup chances completely go, with Drinkwater not even a backup player for Gareth Southgate’s side in Russia.
The 28-year-old could raise some cash for Chelsea to buy other transfer targets, including Jean Michael Seri, with the Blues looking to replace Drinkwater with the Nice star.
Drinkwater will move on without winning anything with the Blues, after winning the Premier League title with Leicester City in 2016. Drinkwater moved to Chelsea last Summer for over £30 million but failed to make an impact in the first team.
