Romelu Lukaku has noted that it was a “dream come true” to reach 100 Premier League goals following his strike during Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Swansea City.
The Belgian, who netted a brace for Belgium over the international break, claimed his 26th goal in all competitions this season with a deflected strike in the fifth minute.
It brought up a considerable milestone for Lukaku: at the age of just 24, playing just his first season at a top six club, he reached 100 Premier League goals.
Speaking after the game, Lukaku noted that it was an honour to reach such a feat in the division he has revered since childhood.
Lukaku: “I’m really happy. A dream come true, I want to win trophies, But i’m really happy to achieve that (100 goals) in a league where I wanted to play since I was six.” #mufc

Only Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler, Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane have reached such a milestone at a younger age than Lukaku – and none of them had to do it at Everton or West Bromwich Albion.
The striker is just 24 and already deserves to named alongside the best goalscorers produced by this division, yet some still persist in pointing out supposed shortcomings to his game.
But that won’t bother him in the slightest. His greatness is not just reflected in numbers alone but also in the way he has recovered from a dry patch last year to assert himself as an indispensable member of Mourinho’s side. He is a warrior, and he looks more like true a United player with every game.
