Manchester United youngster Dean Henderson has his heart set on a permanent move away from Old Trafford in order to secure regular first team football, according to reports.
The 21-year-old moved to Old Trafford from Carlisle United seven years ago and was called up to the Man United first team squad for the first and only time against Shrewsbury Town in February 2016.
He has since impressed on loan at Shrewsbury, making 40 appearances in all competitions for the second placed League One side this season.
And according to the Mirror‘s Darren Witcoop, Henderson will turn down any new deal tabled by United in the summer and seek first team football elsewhere on a permanent basis.
Henderson was part of the England Under-20 side that won 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and his performances in League One this season have seen his stock rise even further, leading to a call-up to the England Under-21s for their 2-1 win over Romania last month.
Much like Sam Johnstone, the Englishman is at an age where he can no longer settle for sitting on the bench. Minutes on the pitch are the main priority and he won’t get that at Old Trafford.
