Chelsea are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Roma duo Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that a deal is close with both players ready to complete a move to the Premier League.
The double swoop is set to cost the Premier League champions somewhere in the region of £45 million this month.
There had been some suggestions that Michy Batshuayi could head in the opposite direction on loan as part of the deal.
However, it now appears that Batshuayi will not be heading to Rome with the Serie A side not convinced by the striker.
The deal to sign Emerson from Roma will see Chelsea allow Kenedy to complete a loan move to Newcastle.
The Brazilian has agreed a loan move to St James’ Park but Antonio Conte has blocked his departure until another left-sided defender is signed.
