ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop has given his blessing to Manchester United after being impressed by Juventus star Paulo Dybala.
The Red Devils are reportedly interested in the Argentine especially in recent weeks after news surfaced of his unhappiness at the club.
The talented striker has seen his match time decrease of late and perhaps that has convinced Jose Mourinho to invest in him.
Another reason may be due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s struggles since returning from injury, United have suddenly looked short in that area.
Hislop though is convinced that investing in Dybala is a transfer that can’t go wrong, regardless what club he joins.
According to the Sunday Express, Shaka said: “Dybala would be a good fit anywhere he goes. If Manchester United pull this off, it would be an amazing coup for them.
“I think he graces United, he graces just about any club. It would be a hit if it happens, I’m not so certain that it does.”
Paulo is also known to operate in the attacking midfield position, featuring occasionally in behind his striker teammate.
Perhaps it’s the role he operates in that also helps people draw comparisons to Barcelona great Lionel Messi.
The number 10 position has been a bit of a problem area for Mourinho this season, although Jesse Lingard has stepped up in recent weeks.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been a bitter disappointment this campaign, especially since he started it so well and there’s no real reason to explain his poor form.
Juan Mata has failed to impress Jose in the attacking midfield position and has only featured on the right wing.
There’s plenty of sense in the rumour that the Portuguese coach is looking for top talent in that area given the other players failures.
Whether the bid turns into reality is yet to be seen but should it happen, it’s tough to imagine a better duo than Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala in the Premier League.
