Chelsea boss Antonio Conte looks set to be an extremely busy man this January as he looks to bolster his squad, and Conte is looking at the possibility of bringing Daniel Sturridge back to London, the Daily Mail report.
Sturridge left Stamford Bridge for Anfield back in 2013 as he wasn’t getting enough game time at Chelsea, however, approaching five years on, Sturridge is now on bench-warming duty at Liverpool and may be open to a return to his former side.
Conte seems to be unhappy with his striker options, with new signing Alvaro Morata regularly leading the line alone with fellow striker Michy Batshuayi seemingly untrusted.
With the Blues still in the Champions League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup, games will be coming thick and fast after the New Year, and if Conte can guarantee the forward more game time than he is getting at Liverpool currently, the English international may be open to the idea of heading back to Chelsea.
